Sakis Papadimitriou (piano) is a legendary figure. Since the early sixties he has been writing and contributing to magazines, as well as playing the piano. He has been developing radio programmes for the State Radio since 1975. He has been composing music for theatre plays and has organised events which combined on-stage music, dance, painting and/or silent movies. Editor of several jazz magazines. Writer of 18 books, with a personal discography of 16 records. He has organised or participated in many European Festivals and projects, workshops and seminars. Member, from time to time, of several Greek or international committees about music, cinema, singing and visual arts. Among his books, the significant “Introduction to Jazz”, published in 1963.
The singer, musician and author Georgia Sylleou studied music and singing. She had further studies in Austria (Lied and Oratorio), while she also studied contemporary musical tides, phonetic expression and theatre in Holland. She started her live performances in Greece and abroad by the end of the eighties. She recorded her first CD in 1993 with Celtic songs from the Hebrides Islands, which became very popular, having lots of re-issues in Greece and abroad. Her co-operation with Sakis Papadimitriou started in 1995. Since then she works on improvisation and events which combine on-stage music and silent movies of the twenties, music, prose and visual arts. She has recorded 11 personal CDs. In between 2000-2003 she worked as a radio producer on the public radio. Several articles of Georgia Sylleou have been published in literary or musical magazines. Her first book was published in 2012.
